Our last meeting was held at St. James Restaurant on Thursday, May 16.  We had a wonderful turnout!  We held our election of new officers.  They are as follows:  President - Claudette Young, Vice President - Mary Steffens, Secretary - Linda Rourk, and Treasurer - Sharon Arnold.  We're all looking forward to another great year with the Tea Ladies.  Also discussed were possible fun activities for the summer and the progress on the St. James Goose Creek Chapel of Ease project.

Our Fifth Annual Tea at the Creek was a wonderful success!  Our speaker, Amanda Mushal, spoke about "The Architecture of Home and Shopping in Nineteenth Century Charleston".  Her narrative focused particularly about the contribution of women in the business world during this time.  We appreciate the support from our wonderful sponsors and our dedicated tea attendees.  Thank you all!  That's y'all for the locals :)

 

Our second meeting for the month of February was held on Thursday, February 21, at St. James Restaurant.  Items discussed included: finalizing plans for the food including cutting the fruit for the fruit salad, the need for more tablecloths, progress on tea ticket sales and sponsorships, donations, our new cookbook, and upcoming expenses.  We will meet at Sharon's house on Saturday, March 2, to prepare door prize and auction items for the tea.  Table setup will be on Friday afternnon, March 8.  Our celebration dinner will be held on March 20.

The first of our two February meetings was held last night at St. James Place in Goose Creek.

We discussed the upcoming tea.  Ticket sales are going well, the menu is set, and we are working to secure donations for the prizes.

Recipients of donations from this year's tea were discussed and voted upon.  Donations for last year are completed.

Marynell has submitted the cookbook for printing.  We are hoping to have the books here in time for the tea.  That would be a good time to kickoff our cookbook sales.

Also discussed was a location for our celebration dinner after the tea.

Our last meeting was held at the Atlanta Bread Company on Thursday, January 17.  Items discussed were the progress of the new cookbook, the menu for the upcoming tea, and the need to decide on recipients of the proceeds of this year's tea.
